Objects (arranged, stacked, overturned, broken, tilted)
Inkjet print on art card

Objects (arranged, stacked, overturned, broken, titled) was created at a time when I was still very much learning to make art. I did so by making several repetitive photographic series. These photographs were often documentations of actions, gestures and (the way I saw it then) performances. This particular series was shot with my phone camera. It records tiny gestures to rearrange, stack, overturn, break and tilt various objects I encountered in my daily life.

Strangely, the initial title of the work was And Now, I Am Cloud as if repetitive action could allow me to transcend into a different state, perhaps some state of non-existence. It was also a time in my youth that I thought a lot about such possibilities.
